Michael Flynn can rest a little easier today now that the DOJ has dropped it’s criminal case against him. Fox News reported:
“The announcement came in a court filing “after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information,” as the department put it.
“DOJ officials said they concluded that Flynn’s interview by the FBI was “untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn” and that the interview was “conducted without any legitimate investigative basis.”
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has a big problem with General Flynn’s case being dropped. She shared a tweet by the Associated Press which linked to a Flynn article and said,
“White privilege at work.”
Omar did not stop there. She tweeted again saying,
“Millions of people—mostly black and Latino men—spend years in jail trying to prove their innocence. Some die in jail. Michael Flynn was exonerated for crimes *he admitted to* with the blink of an eye.”
Omar’s tweets did not sit well with a lot of people and garnered tons of comments. Here are few.
Errol Webber for Congress tweeted,
“Did you just pull a random card from your “Deck Of Things To Blame Stuff On”?”
Mark Dice tweeted,
“Racists always think everything is about race.”
Billy Rich tweeted,
“White privelage is made up by those who demand hand outs. I am considered “White” by every application I have ever filled out. The only privilege I ever had is the privelage to work hard and earn what I have achieved.”
